The mortals have chosen. Eurydice must descend.In this journey of personal revelation, the tree-nymph, Eurydice, must choose between reclaiming her heritage or reconnecting with her lover, Orpheus.In spite of warnings from Clio, The Muse of History, Eurydice has decided she cannot wait on Orpheus any longer: she must return to the underworld and uncover her familial roots. But when she arrives on Charon&#x27;s shores, she realizes she has no fare to pay the ferryman. How will she cross the rivers of the underworld to Persephone&#x27;s gate?Join Eurydice &amp; Charon as they journey through the luminescent caverns of the underworld, against a musical backdrop that combines operatic singing with hip-hop beats. You, the live audience, will shape their path by making decisions for Eurydice - will she finally cross over the threshold between the living and the dead?Make your choice and tune in to this interactive livestream to watch a new dynasty in the OrpheusVR universe unravel in realtime.Live From The Underworld: Eurydice&#x27;s Descent streams live on YouTube on June 26th at 4pm PDT.ABOUT ORPHEUSVR / LIVE FROM THE UNDERWORLDIn 2018 a team of digital and opera artists came together to ask &quot;what would opera look like if it were invented today?&quot;. From that initial question came OrpheusVR, an interactive, choose-your-own-adventure, virtual-reality opera was born. After completing the prototype in 2021, the OrpheusVR team started working in the digital live stream space, using realtime motion capture technology and computer avatars from the OrpheusVR world to create live, interactive operatic performances that can be streamed from any device.
