<p>Want to connect with Edmonton’s best and brightest? Work on your professional goals? "Level up" in your community? Then this program is for you.</p><p>The Summer 2022 interVivos Mentorship Program will amplify the voices of diverse 2SLGBTQ+  mentors and showcase their impressive work and valuable insights. The program provides protégés with the opportunity to connect and be matched with a successful 2SLGBTQ+ mentor. <strong>Protégés do not need to identify as 2SLGBTQ+ to participate in this program.</strong></p><p>interVivos has connected hundreds of mentors and protégés in Edmonton since 2006. While some people look to mentorship for career development, our six-month program focuses on the importance of a reciprocal relationship between mentors and protégés. Together, our mentors and protégés have worked on a variety of goals, such as personal growth and development, workplace challenges, career changes, building networks, and work-life effectiveness. </p><p>The fees collected from protégés are directly invested in our programs, events, and non-profit costs.  Protégés will choose their fee on a sliding scale ($50, $60, $70)  to participate in the Summer 2022 Mentorship Program. We also provide free protégé spots to local nonprofits.</p><h2>This is what you need to know:</h2><ul><li>10 protégés meet 10 mentors at our in-person program launch. </li><li>Our launch emcee is <a href="https://janisirwin.ca/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Janis Irwin, MLA for Edmonton-Highlands-Norwood</a>.</li><li>The launch takes place on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 6-9 pm at the DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton, 16615-109 Ave. Light snacks and non-alcoholic drinks are provided.  We encourage our participants to use masks and sanitizer whenever possible.  </li><li>interVivos will provide you with resources and supports to guide you through the launch and the 6-month program. This includes a mandatory virtual orientation scheduled for Thursday, June 23 at 6pm.  The link for this call will be sent soon.</li><li>The launch will include a series of speed-rotations, where mentors and protégés in pairs will discuss their goals and expectations in short 7-minute conversations.</li><li>Participants rank their choices at the end of the evening, and interVivos makes the final matches in late June or early July.</li><li>Mentors and protégés are welcome to meet as often as they would like, but we require at least three in-person or virtual meetings during the 6-month program (July 2022-December 2022).</li><li>interVivos will create a safe space for participants to share their experiences in the program and use an open-door policy to build trust and a supportive environment.</li><li><strong>Protégés must email a professional photo to connect@intervivos.ca by Wednesday, June 22, 2022.
