Mindful Eating Program

Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinics are a new primary health care delivery model in which Nurse Practitioners are the lead providers. The team at Emery Keelesdale includes Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, a Dietitian, a Social Worker, a collaborating family physician, and other health care professionals. We offer a comprehensive, accessible, and coordinated family health care service to our community - especially those who do not have access to a primary care provider. EKNPLC has been providing services to Humber Summit in North York West and the Keele & Eglinton area since 2012.

The Mindful Eating Program is a free weekly group program, taking a non-dieting, holistic approach to food and wellness.

Please look out for an email from Zoom (Virtual EKNPLC) containing the Zoom sessions' access details.

<p>This program is <strong>FREE</strong> and open to all. Adults of all ages are encouraged to attend! Beginning on September 13, 2022, there will be <strong>6 x 2-hour sessions</strong> (Tuesdays) from 11am—1pm. It will not be recorded — you are encouraged to attend all sessions! </p><h3>Our <em>dietitian</em> and <em>social worker </em>will teach you about:</h3><ul><li>Mindfulness and mindful eating</li><li>Managing stress/cravings/emotional eating and healthy eating behaviours</li><li>How to have a positive relationship with food</li><li>How to improve your health while respecting the body you have</li></ul><h3>Dates</h3><ul><li>September 13, 20, 27</li><li>October 4, 11, 18</li><li>Please note that this event is listed as a &quot;single event&quot; but it is a course of six (6) consecutive weekly sessions. </li></ul><h3>Time</h3><ul><li>11am to 1pm EST</li></ul><h3>Location</h3><ul><li>Online (Zoom)</li><li>Please register to access the online event page.
