Mike Branton is a man in love with the blues. It was his first musical passion, and one that has remained in full bloom over the years. After making a name for himself as a young guitar prodigy, he has evolved into a triple threat. His signature fluent and exciting guitar playing is as potent as ever, and Mike has now emerged as a highly talented and original singer and songwriter.

The Oakville-based Branton is not just borrowing from the classic blues repertoire but adding to it in the form of fresh new compositions.Since 2003 and up until the pandemic shut down, the multiple award winning NRS had been playing every Saturday night in Niagara. It's an unrehearsed adventure with a different guest artist every night. After a two and a half year pandemic hiatus, the NRS are starting a new monthly residency at Camp Cataract in Niagara Falls! They, along with their special guest(s), will appear once a month on a Sunday from 2:30pm- 5pm. Camp Cataract is a special and intimate music and arts performance space with great food and drinks. So many people have been asking when we are starting up again and now's your chance to show your support for the music you've been telling us you've missed badly these last few years.
