The Connors Bros. Nature Preserve at Pea Point consists of 100 acres (43 hectares) with 2 kilometers of coastline, within the Fundy Coast Eco-district, in Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick. 

The Connors Bros. Nature Preserve at Pea Point is a stopover site for migratory birds, including the harlequin duck, a species at risk.

At this cleanup, teams will work together to identify and remove debris along the shorelines of the preserve. Participants should be prepared for collecting garbage and some bushwhacking.

Volunteers will also be working together to remove invasive plants during this event. Japanese Knotweed (Fallopia japonica) is an incredibly invasive woody-stemmed species that is an aggressive spreader and is a threat to forest biodiversity and even building foundations. You’ll learn how to identify Japanese knotweed and how to best manage it!
More details will be circulated to participants upon registration and in advance of the cleanup event. Vous apprendrez comment identifier la renouée du Japon et comment mieux la gérer !De plus amples informations seront communiquées aux participants lors de leur inscription et avant l'événement de nettoyage.Il s'agit d'un événement en plein air, veuillez donc vous habiller en fonction de la météo.Ce qu'il faut apporter :- Des chaussures fermées ou des bottes de pluie- Vêtements adaptés à la météo - De l'eau- Repas et collations- Crème solaire- Spray anti-moustiques et/ou filet anti-moustiques- Gants de travail (facultatif)- Appareil photo (facultatif)
