Location: Caughey-Taylor Nature Preserve, Bocabec NBDate: August 19th, 2022Time: 10:00am - 2:00pmCost: FreeLeader: Huntsman Marine Science Centre and Nature Trust of New Brunswick StaffNumber of Available Registrations: 20Help restore the coastal ecosystem by participating in this cleanup at the Caughey-Taylor Nature Preserve!The Caughey-Taylor Nature Preserve is 240 hectares (600 acres), stretching along Taggart’s Brook and marsh, surrounding Sam Orr’s Pond, to Birch Cove and Berry Point, located in Bocabec, 12 km north-east of St. Andrews.Caughey-Taylor is the only habitat along the Bay of Fundy where quahog (Mercenari amercenaria) are found and plays host to assemblages of plants and animals found nowhere else on the Fundy coastline.At this cleanup, teams will work together to identify and remove debris along the shorelines of the preserve. Participants should be prepared for collecting garbage and some bushwhacking.More details will be circulated to participants upon registration and in advance of the cleanup event.
