The Saints Rest Marsh Nature Preserve is one of the largest salt marshes on the Bay of Fundy’s north shore, it is situated next to Irving Nature Park, just west of Saint John. 

Saints Rest Marsh is a Significant Wetland and an internationally recognized Important Bird Area. The beach, shoreline, and mud flats create highly suitable conditions for shorebirds to nest and feed. Birds that have been known to frequent the area include the common eider, black duck, American widgeon, savannah sparrow, glossy ibis, great egret, snowy egret, and much more.

At this cleanup, teams will work together to identify and remove debris along the shorelines of the preserve. Participants should be prepared for collecting garbage and some bushwhacking.
More details will be circulated to participants upon registration and in advance of the cleanup event. La réserve naturelle du marais Saints Rest est l&#x27;un des plus grands marais salés de la côte nord de la baie de Fundy. Elle est située à côté du parc naturel Irving, juste à l&#x27;ouest de Saint John.

Le marais Saints Rest est une terre humide importante et une zone importante pour les oiseaux reconnue internationalement. La plage, le littoral et les vasières créent des conditions très propices à la nidification et à l&#x27;alimentation des oiseaux de rivage. Parmi les oiseaux qui fréquentent la zone, on trouve l&#x27;eider à duvet, le canard noir, le canard d&#x27;Amérique, le bruant des prés, l&#x27;ibis falcinelle, la grande aigrette, l&#x27;aigrette neigeuse et bien d&#x27;autres.

Lors de ce nettoyage, les équipes travailleront ensemble pour identifier et enlever les débris le long des rives de la réserve. Les participants doivent être prêts à ramasser des déchets et à faire un peu de brousse.
Plus d&#x27;informations seront communiquées aux participants lors de leur inscription et avant l&#x27;événement de nettoyage.Il s&#x27;agit d&#x27;un événement en plein air, veuillez donc vous habiller en fonction de la météo.Ce qu&#x27;il faut apporter :- Des chaussures fermées ou des bottes de pluie- Vêtements adaptés à la météo - De l&#x27;eau- Repas et collations- Crème solaire- Chasse-moustiques et/ou filet anti-moustiques- Gants de travail (facultatif)- Appareil photo (facultatif)
