Small Flock Poultry Avian Influenza Information sessions 2022

<h3>﻿This free information session is for small flock poultry owners who are interested in learning more about the current North American outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) and how it may impact them. Veterinary specialists from the BC Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Animal Health Centre will present an overview of HPAI, why it should be taken seriously, how to protect your birds and how to report if the disease is suspected in your flock. </h3>**Veterinarian and UBC graduate student Dr. Andrew is partnering with us to learn more about small flock owners and how they can be supported to prevent avian influenza in their flocks. You are invited to participate in an online survey, as well as a focus group right after the info session. A light lunch will be provided to those that stay. Participation is voluntary and other options for participation are available.
