H﻿ave you been court-ordered to co-parent with someone who uses violence and control?Join us on three Tuesday afternoons at Waverley Library to learn from these free, helpful sessions in a supportive environment with other women. We&#x27;ll hear from lawyers, family counsellors, and advocates during this three-part series to learn strategies for co-parenting, coping with parental alienation, and dealing with child protection involvement while focusing on the safety and wellbeing of you and your children. Coffee &amp; tea provided. Bus tickets are also available.PART 2: Is it parenting or is he just controlling you and your kids? (Oct. 11th, 1-3pm)Learn how to confront and cope with parental alienation and how to help your children through it.NOTE: T﻿his session will now also include a presentation about when abusers weaponize parenting, child custody or access that was scheduled for Oct 4th (Part 1). Note that the session now runs 1-4pm for this reason.PART 3: When Child Protection (CAS, DIlico, Tikinagan) is involved (Oct. 18th, 1-3pm)Learn how to deal with false reports to child welfare agencies by (ex)partners, what to be aware of when service plans or kinship care agreements are made, and when to involve a lawyer.
