Kelly McMichael (from Peterborough ON, now based in St. John’s NFLD), is known for her commanding presence and versatile songwriting. Kelly&#x27;s debut LP &#x27;Waves&#x27; made the 2022 Polaris Prize Shortlist. It was recorded in St John’s NL with co-producer/ engineer/ drummer/ inventor Jake Nicoll (The Burning Hell). As a multi-instrumentalist and vocal chameleon Kelly’s skills in studio and on the road have been shared with Sarah Harmer, Rouge, Regina Gently, Gentleman Reg, The Burning Hell, Allie X The Hidden Cameras and more. At a live show, Kelly delivers a great performance with unique side players who capture the joy of rock and roll together.‘Waves’ received international praise for rich production, displaying a timeless range of rock and pop sounds with playful melodies and dreamy textures that touch on retro psychedelia.
