In fact, the pandemic has accelerated crises such as deforestation, disease, hunger, and gender-based violence. Now more than ever, we must stand by the commitments we&#x27;ve made towards achieving the equitable and sustainable world we all believe in. How can Canada do it?P﻿ANEL ABSTRACT: The objective of this panel is to provide a critical overview of Canada&#x27;s role in international development in the last years; and explain to the audience, according to the work of our organizations, what can be done in order to change the status quo, and make Canada an important and recognized global player in the fight against poverty and the accomplishment of the SDGs. During our conversation we will discuss Canada’s current efforts towards our SDG goals, emphasizing what Canada’s policy stances (or lines) are, what role should Canada play and what can and should we do to get back on track and generate a stronger impact at a global level regarding international aid.
