<h3>This free information session is for small flock poultry owners (flock size of 2-200+) who are interested in learning more about the current North American outbreak of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) and how it may impact them.</h3><h3>Veterinary Specialists from the BC Ministry of Agriculture and Food, Animal Health Centre will present an overview of HPAI, why it should be taken seriously, how to protect your birds and how to report if the disease is suspected in your flock.</h3><h3><strong><em>** Refreshments will be provided **</em></strong></h3><h3> All Small Flock Owners are encouraged to take part in the <a href="https://ubc.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_7OF15GPtHVqjIXk" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"><em>Small Flock Communications Study</em></a> being lead by Dr. Cassandra Andrew, Veterinarian, UBC Graduate Student. The study is being conducted by the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, and the BC and Yukon Governments. </h3><h3>Dr. Andrew is partnering with us to learn more about small flock owners and how they can be supported to prevent avian influenza in their flocks.
