Encounter Your Experience: Embodying Light is a practice of witnessing the phenomenological moments we experience in our everyday day lives from different perspectives. This improvisation based workshop is a collaborative process where we make tangible the visibly hidden through embodied seeing, listening and feeling using movement and light.
Biography
Giselle Liu is an interdisciplinary choreographer whose work has traveled to
Hong Kong / China, UK, and Europe over the last two decades. Whilst abroad for eleven years, Liu developed a body of work that spans a wide breadth from community-based project to commercial, and contemporary works. Liu holds a MFA (Interdisciplinary Arts) from Simon Fraser University and a BA (Dance) from the University of Calgary and gratefully received the Scholarship Award 2021 , and the Individual Arts Award 2022 supported by the BC Arts Council.
