This invitation is for both students and Employer-Partners to celebrate the national graduation ceremony.

Come celebrate the achievements of our ACT! participants!Participants, their parents/guardians, family members, as well as employers and members of the community at large are invited to join ACT! as we mark the completion of the program for participants across Canada with a full morning and afternoon of activities!Starting at 11am MST (10am PST &amp; 1pm EST), our event kicks off at with a rousing commencement speech by Dr. TC Waisman, owner of <a href="https://adaptcoach.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Adapt Coaching</a>, who was diagnosed at age 48 with Autism. Hear about her lived experience of “constantly failing” and how she managed to achieve her Doctorate not in spite of her Autism, but because of it.Following, you are invited to take part in two of four workshops being offered, as well as a panel presentation. Choose from (all times in MST):11:45 AM - Workshop #1: Choose between:· Reasonable Accommodations: How to Ask for Them and What to Expect· Belonging Over Fitting In12:30 PM – Panel Discussion: Curb Cutter Effects in the Workplace1:00 PM – Workshop #2: Choose between:· Handling Rejection/Getting Feedback· Neurodiversifying Your Hiring Process(Note: Choices can be made the day of the event, right within the program virtual platform and do not need to be registered for in advance).Then the real fun begins a 2 PM with a performance by the Comedy Troupe – Comics Not Otherwise Specified, a comedy group made up of four autistic comedians coming together from all over Canada: Toronto, London, Vancouver and Winnipeg.Rounding out our day will be our Graduation Ceremony itself, with certificate presentation and a chance for our participants and their employers to share their experiences in the program, as well as congratulations offered from dignitaries and special guests from across Canada.Sign up and attend the whole day, or pop in and out for the events that best suit your schedule and your interests!
