Farm & Food Care Ontario is seeking volunteers to help at our Breakfast on the Farm event in Huron County. This family-friendly event will be a great way to educate the public on the importance of agriculture in Ontario. Outgoing and friendly volunteers are needed to welcome our visitors and set the tone from the moment they arrive. Please read the full event description.

Stop 1: Grazing Meadows Wagyu, 43085 Newry Rd, Brussels, ON N0G 1H0
Event time: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Volunteer orientation: 7:30 a.m.
Stop 2: Hallahan Farms, 39732 Westfield Road, Blyth, ON N0M 1H0
Event time: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Volunteer orientation at: Grazing Meadows Wagyu: 7:30 a.m.
Volunteer breakfast, 43085 Newry Rd, Brussels, ON N0G 1H0
7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. (Volunteers from both locations)
Commitment Details:
- Volunteers will be provided with t-shirts identifying them as volunteers (Be sure to click on your t-shirt size) and are otherwise expected to be appropriately dressed for the weather.
- There are a number of areas of the event that volunteers will be stationed at, including the registration and guest connection areas and along the route through the farm to answer questions about farm animals, crops and equipment. Volunteers are expected to be in their assigned area for the duration of the event.
- Volunteers may be asked to assist with set up and clean up/tear down.
- A volunteer lunch will provided for all volunteers at the close of event.
