Singing Together

A Celebration of Cultural Diversity
“Singing Together 2023” unites local ethnic choirs to perform a repertoire from their own cultures, with a finale performance of common pieces composed by Canadian musicians. This year, the common pieces will feature a Cree piece and a popular song composed by the late Canadian country songwriter Ian Tyson. “Singing Together” is proud to feature how music showcase our differences and at the same time unites us together like a beautiful mosaic.“Singing Together” began at the Columbus Centre in the winter of 1995, following the foundation of Coro San Marco. Four groups were invited by Music Director Daniele Colla to perform for each other and the community. Initially, there were two Italian choirs, and a French and German choir.Saturday, April 227:00pmConcert ProgrammeCantemos (UCC) (Spanish)Choir Of Alumni Performing Art Troupe Chinese Canadian Choir Of Toronto (Chinese)Coro San Marco (Italian)Joyful Singers (Korean)Le Petite Musicale Of Toronto (Caribbean)Shevchenko Choir (Ukrainian)For more information please contact Coro San Marco - Joe Lo Curto - Phone: (416) 399-8053Villa Charities is a Community Supporter.
