The theme of this year's conference is: <strong><em>The Ethics of Allyship</em></strong>. </p><p>We are honoured and excited that <strong>Dr. Raven Sinclair</strong> has agreed to be our keynote speaker.</p><p>W﻿orkshops and small group discussions will offer opportunities for participants to collaboratively deconstruct and critically investigate the concept of <em>allyship</em>, and to reflect on how the themes of the conference resonate with their personal and professional context. </p><p>The goal of this conference is to situate these conversations in a larger reflection about social work’s role in building true social justice, as reflected in this poem: <a href="https://decolonialfutures.net/portfolio/wanna-be-an-ally" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">decolonialfutures.net/portfolio/wanna-be-an-ally</a></p><p>This year's conference is virtual and will be held on Zoom. We hope you can join us.</p><p>Program information, including the daily agenda and session descriptions, will be added to the conference website (<a href="https://www.nscswconference.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">nscswconference.org</a>) in late April.</p>

<h1>Meetings</h1><p>The annual conference dates coincide with two important meetings for NSCSW. Members of the College should RSVP for those meetings separately if they plan to join. </p><p>Non-members will be able to watch public livestreams via our YouTube channel. </p><p>All NSCSW members are invited to participate directly in these meetings on Zoom, including retired and student members. All NSCSW members can vote except those who are not in good standing or who have a limited registration (e.g. temporary registration, restricted to telepractice from outside Nova Scotia etc.). </p><h2>Special general meeting</h2><h3>Tentative date: Thursday May 11, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.</h3><p>NSCSW members will be invited to consider, debate, and vote on several motions. </p><p><a href="https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/463752786067"><strong>M﻿embers may click here to RSVP for the SGM.</strong></a></p><h2>Annual general meeting</h2><h3>Saturday May 13, 9 to 10 a.m.</h3><p>This is a presentation of the NSCSW's annual report. </p><p><a href="https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/591511385477"><strong>Members may click here to RSVP for the AGM</strong></a><strong>.</strong></p>
