Deep Learning School - 5th edition in Vancouver

Fondé par l’Université de Montréal, HEC Montréal et Polytechnique Montréal, IVADO a pour vocation de regrouper professionnels de l’industrie et chercheurs académiques afin de développer une expertise de pointe dans les domaines de la science des données, de la recherche opérationnelle et de l’intelligence artificielle. Concrètement, IVADO incite aux échanges et au partage de connaissances entre les spécialistes, les partenaires, les chercheurs et les étudiants de son réseau. IVADO se veut être le pont entre les diverses expertises universitaires et les besoins des entreprises, de la multinationale à la start-up. Avec plus de 1000 scientifiques affiliés (chercheurs, postdocs, doctorants et agents de recherche), IVADO constitue un centre de compétences avancées et multidisciplinaires dans les domaines des statistiques, de l’intelligence d’affaires, de l’apprentissage profond, des mathématiques appliquées, de la fouille de données et de la cybersécurité.

<P>Deep learning is a machine learning technique that has significantly improved previous results in computer vision, speech recognition, machine translation and other areas. Many other areas are affected by this new technology, or will be. In response to the interest generated by this technology, and in response to training needs, <A HREF="https://ivado.ca/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">IVADO</A> and <A HREF="https://mila.umontreal.ca/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Mila</A> are partnering with the <A HREF="https://dsi.ubc.ca/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">UBC Data Science Institute</A> to offer this training in Vancouver from December 2 to 6, 2019.</P>
<H3>Target audience</H3>
<P>The content of this school is mainly aimed at industry professionals and SMEs with basic knowledge of mathematics and programming (engineers, computer scientists, statisticians, technical project managers, product managers, systems engineers, etc.), but professors and graduate students in science or engineering (mainly those who are not yet familiar with deep learning) may also find it interesting.</P>
