Vancouver International Bhangra Celebration Society (VIBC) is a Vancouver based charity. Founded in 2004, VIBC hosts initiatives to further support progressive South Asian artistic expression. Our signature initiative is 5X, the essential festival and digital community.5X Festivalis the essential festival and digital community elevating South Asian youth culture. Our vision is to build a world where we belong and thrive. VENUEThe 5X Blockparty is hosted at The Beaumont Studios, a unique venue and art gallery in Vancouver, BC. This indoor / outdoor location is perfect for rain or shine. Our #cometogether Art Lounge will feature bespoke collaborations between local creatives, and provides a perfect counterpoint to the live music performances.KEY DETAILS<ul><li>Indoor/outdoor festival</li><li>Musical performances &amp; art gallery space</li><li>Groups are welcome, come with your homies! </li><li>All ages - alcoholic drinks available with wristband</li><li>Tap payments encouraged</li><li>No outside food allowed</li></ul>TIMINGDoors open at the event start time listed on Eventbrite. Shows start 30-60 minutes after doors open. Friday: Doors 5pm, Show at 6-10pm. Sat: Doors 3pm, Show 4-10pm. Sun: Doors 3pm, Show 4-10pm NO SHOW POLICYTicket holders must arrive 20 minutes after the door opening to avoid their tickets being resold should there be any people waiting in line during a sell out. Refunds will NOT be offered for no shows. Capacity is extremely limited. RETURN &amp; EXCHANGE POLICYFULLY REFUNDABLE if event is cancelled due public health orders. No refunds otherwise.To transfer a ticket to another person, login to your Eventbrite account, go to tickets, select your order, click edit, and change the ticket information accordingly.WEATHERThe festival will take place rain or shine. The outdoor portion of the venue is fully tented. CODE OF CONDUCT5X Festival has a zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, racism, and religious discrimination. Anyone acting in a way that causes harm or puts the well being of another at risk will be spoken with and may be asked to leave. Please be aware of and responsible for your actions. Let us know if you feel unsafe, or if you see anyone acting contrary to our vision for this event. Vaccine passports will be required to enter the premises. We will be following current mask mandates. Ample hand sanitizer and hand washing stations will be available.
