The Canadian Centre for Men and Families (CCMF) Alberta branch has scheduled its second annual Footsteps for Fathers Walk and Fundraiser event in Calgary on Fathers Day, Sunday, June 18th at 11 am MDT at Picnic Site 9 in Edworthy Park.We will walk as a community on Father’s Day. These programs equip men to manage stressful situations, rebuild themselves, and minimize the chances of escalating to an acute mental health crisis. “I am not alone. Event Day Parking: Edworthy Park - Picnic Site #9South Access – 5050 Spruce Dr. S.W. (Bow Tr. &amp; Spruce Dr. S.W.)North Access – Shaganappi Trail and 16th Avenue.Parking: There are two parking lots – one at the south end and one at the north end of the park. As the park is narrow both provide great access to any part of the park.From the North parking lot you need to cross the river via the Harry Boothman Bridge to get to Edworthy Park. Once you cross the bridge, turn right and follow the path until you see blue balloons and flags on your left at picnic site #9.From the South parking lots cross the railroad tracks and turn left. Walk straight until you see blue balloons and flags on the right at picnic site #9.
