Explore multiple approaches to environmental storytelling and create a collaborative game (and zine!) spanning parallel worlds.

In this hybrid workshop we’ll play with choice and intention while exploring multiple approaches to environmental storytelling and create a collaborative game (and zine!) spanning parallel worlds.We will work on telling a story in a single image. We&#x27;ll go over approaches to item/environment creation that emphasize how our choices can bring life and meaning into a scene and tell a story. We&#x27;ll have the option of using digital tools, photos, IRL objects, etc. to tell our stories.Upon completion of the workshop we will have created a collaborative daisy-chained point-and-click story game where the objective is to find the right entry to the next world.

Access to equipment is provided on a first-come-first-serve basis and is not guaranteed. Please make sure to prepare and test out this setup well before the workshop. If you run into any issues with installing or using this software, contact education@interaccess.org for troubleshooting advice.Important note: This workshop can be optionally accessed through Zoom. For purposes of security, registrants will receive the Zoom link on the day of the workshop, via their registered email. You must have a registered Zoom account to participate remotely.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy: Please email education@interaccess.org to request a refund. We are unable to accommodate attendee cancellations or refunds less than 1 week prior to a workshop or event. InterAccess reserves the right to cancel or reschedule this workshop if necessary.

<h3>About the Facilitators</h3><a href="https://localkristine.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Kristine Buerano</a> (she/they) is a Filipino artist raised in Scarborough with a penchant for finding playful ways to provide comfort and connect with care. She is currently working on a game teaching computer science concepts to elementary school students and a children's book about recognizing the ways we love. She's got an affinity for fish imagery, epistolary fiction, and lists of three. (-:
