Join us for snacks and a discussion on the basics of small holder swine and poultry nutrition.

Manitoba Agriculture invites small-scale swine and poultry producers and enthusiasts to join us for an evening seminar on the basics of animal nutrition and feeding. This free event is the second in a small holder seminar series which provides animal owners with a greater understanding of raising healthy pigs and poultry. This seminar will explore nutrient requirements and programs for different ages and stages of production, feeding behavior, ingredient sourcing, feed mixing and manufacturing, on-farm food safety, medications in feed and water, and impacts of nutrition and feed quality on herd/flock health.T﻿he seminar will be held in two locations:-﻿ July 26, 2023 - Neepawa Public Library - Neepawa, MB - 6:30-8:30 pm-﻿ August 3, 2023 - Mennonite Heritage Museum - Steinbach, MB - 6:30-8:30 pmSpeakers will include:-﻿ Amy Johnston - Manitoba Agriculture Poultry Specialist-﻿ Robyn Harte - Manitoba Agriculture Swine Specialist-﻿ Deanne Wilkinson - Manitoba Agriculture Extension VeterinarianS﻿eating is limited, so it is appreciated if you cancel your ticket if you can no longer attend.Please email any questions to:d﻿eanne.wilkinson@gov.mb.caD﻿eanne Wilkinson, Extension Veterinarian
