Located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, Ontario Power Generation's visitor centre showcases the history of the St. Lawrence Seaway and Power Project as well as the communities and people affected, and great biodiversity stories like the American Eel. Come explore our exciting and informative interactive displays that make our visitor centre a key tourist destination in the Cornwall area.

Join the NNATC and OPG to learn all about the Haudenosaunee Creation Story!

Saunders Hydro Dam Visitor Centre

Join the Native North American Travelling College (NNATC) at the OPG Saunders Hydro Dam Visitor Centre on Sunday, August 6 for the &quot;Creation Story on Canvas&quot; Workshop. From 11am - 1pm, participants will learn about the traditional Haudenosaunee Creation Story. This will include learning the significance of the story, how it applies to the Haudenosaunee Culture, and some of the lessons within the story. Participants will receive their own canvas and paint as they use their imagination to create an interpretation of a particular part of the Creation Story that stands out to them.Recommended ages 10 and up. Workshop space is limited. Admission is free. Please note: One canvas will be allotted per ticket registrant (e.g., 2 tickets = 2 canvases).
