Unique Data Science Hackathon focusing on the Social Determinants of Health of British Columbia's vulnerable communities.

Vancouver Machine Learning (VanML) is hosting a data science hackathon focusing on British Columbia&#x27;s vulnerable communities&#x27; Social Determinants of Health. This hackathon will be held in person at the Harbour Centre in downtown Vancouver, September 23rd and 24th, 9AM-5PM. Meet with public health experts, domain data scientists and engineers, non-profit organizations, leading scholars, and students to learn and explore health data as a team.As a participant, you will get hands-on experience, compete to solve real-world problems with data science, and analyze data sets provided by community stakeholders, such as United Way BC and the BC Centre for Disease Control. You will have a chance to attend academic and domain-related workshops and mentorships. This is an opportunity to improve our community through data science and have a positive impact. <ul><li>Lunch and refreshments will be provided. </li><li>There will be monetary winning prizes. </li><li>Certificate of participation. </li></ul>Register early, as tickets are limited.
