A family-friendly afternoon of forward-looking jazz, featuring The Offering of Curtis Andrews &amp; Big Space. Each band will play a one-hour set, starting at 2:00. Don't miss out on this very special show! Tickets are minimum $25, $15 for under 19, $10 for under 12.Curtis Andrews is a Canadian musician with global persuasions, who specializes in South Indian percussion, West African drum/dance, drumset, and mbira. He has released two albums of original music with his own ensemble The Offering of Curtis Andrews, and is a regular collaborator with various world music and jazz musicians in and around Vancouver, BC. Joining Curtis for this performance will be: Bill Brennan: pianoChris Harnett: saxophonesBrad Jefford: guitarJosh Ward: bassIndie-jazz trio Big Space blends cutting-edge jazz and instrumental rock, with a heavy focus on live improvisation. The band features Grant King on guitar, Ashley Chalmers on drums, and Ian Murphy on bass. Their debut studio album "In Relation To" recently won ECMA Jazz Recording of the Year.
