Where families can connect with other families, learn from one another, and explore financial resources. February: Credit Counselling SocietyThe Credit Counselling Society is a registered, non-profit service for consumers. Since opening in 1996, we have helped more than 1 Million people from BC to Ontario learn how to solve their debt problems, manage their money better, and use credit responsibly. CCS does not lend or invest money. Our counsellors offer free and confidential budget and debt counselling and our educators talk money in a relatable way.Join us with guest speaker Mark!Mark is a personal finance nerd! His interest grew when working at a bank call center where he read the David Chilton book, “The Wealthy Barber.” He has taken courses on investing and insurance but selling was not for him. He prefers working at the Credit Counselling Society where he sells nothing but gets to help people solve money problems and talking personal finance. March: RDSP Deep DiveJoin us with guest speaker Sheldon Pickering, IG Wealth ManagementSheldon is a graduate of Mount Royal University and has been supported at IG the last number of years. Through his Living Plan Process, he helps to explore and uncover opportunities in all dimensions of your financial life. Together he helps you to grow your wealth, and manage risk, while significantly reducing personal and corporate tax. When he’s not in the office, you can find him on the golf course or his garden.Sheldon has been working with Gateway Association for the last couple of years helping folks with the RDSP and sharing financial information. April: Voice of Albertans with Disabilities (VAD)Join us with guest speaker from VAD!V AD will be sharing information about the services they offer including support with AISH and Canada Pension Plan Disability applications.
