Join us in exploring the beauty of what grows in nature and how you can harvest what you need to make a beautiful edible bouquet.

Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area and Muskoka Ski Club

This is a beginners experience to d﻿iscovering the fascinating world of wild plants and mushrooms . Our guided forage not only provides you with the knowledge but also a hands on experience of touching and engaging with nature so you can become more curious and confident . You will be hand picking an assortment of flowers and edibles to arrange in your own bouquet to take home.T﻿his is a 2 hour experience and is open to all ages. Individuals, Families, Couples, Friends and Strangers are all welcome to join. T﻿he event is limited to 12 people to keep the experience intimate and hands on.O﻿ur event is being hosted at Sandhill Nursery where you will learn about what grows at the nursery and also explore the magic of the forest on this beautiful property. Please wear appropriate footwear for a hike and note this is bug season in muskoka so bring spray or jackets based on your comfort level.W﻿e will meet in the main parking area where you can leave your car parked during our hike. We will return to the parking lot afterwards. Please bring a small basket or cardboard fruit box to hold a few items you will collect on our hike. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the event so we can get organized before we head out on the trails. We will be leaving the parking lot promptly at 6pm.Join us on this adventure, guided by J﻿essi our experienced and wildly passionate foraging guide with knowledge to share. Meet your guide for the day!Jessi is the creator and lead guide of our Curiosity Hikes. Her wildly curious &amp; passionate nature is what allows her to connect so deeply with children and guide them into the world of wonder that exists in the forests and lands of our beautiful Earth. Jessi has graduated with a teaching and ECE degree from the Concurrent Education Program at the University of Windsor, teaching play-based learning in different parts of the world, now settling in the abundant nature of Northeastern Ontario, where she has been practising mushroom foraging for the past 6 years and guiding educational foraging hikes for the past 2. Jessi’s dream is to dedicate her life &amp; career to creating a new pathway for education, through nature, while providing an enriching and transformational learning environment for children to reach their greatest heights.
