The Effie Arts Collective is Kamloops’ newest event venue offering a place for the community to gather together and experience “Collective Effervescence” – a sociological phenomenon where members of an audience experience the same feeling at the same time while watching a live performance like a comedy show, concert, or play.The Effie is an Assembly Hall available for local companies and individuals  to rent for events and gatherings.422 Tranquille Rd

His many TV performances have aired nationally in Canada on the CBC, The Comedy Network, and Crave. On radio, Jacob can be heard on Sirius XM and CBC’s “The Debaters.” He has appeared multiple times at the Montreal Just for Laughs and Winnipeg Comedy Festivals. In 2021, Jacob won the Juno award for “Comedy Album of the Year.” Jacob has also had cartoons published in The New Yorker even though he did terribly in middle school art class.LATE SHOW - DOORS 8:45PM COMEDY 9:00PMHEADLINER STEVE MCGOWANSteve McGowan combines storytelling with crowd work making him a favorite with audiences across Canada. For years, his hyper and cheeky onstage rage has made him a fantastic comedic presence. Featuring at venues coast to coast, Steve has also opened for Jon Dore, Dave Foley, Rory Scovel, Chappelle&#x27;s Show&#x27;s Donell Rawlings, Iliza Shlesinger, Ian Bagg, Dave Coulier, Tony Rock &amp; more! His debut comedy album released in 2022 called &#x27;Pleasantly Offensive&#x27; is available on all platforms.&quot;You can see how much fun he and the audience are having together.
