Do I have to be 55+ and live in Northumberland to participate

Yes. If space permits however, adults 55+ from other locations may be able to participate. Please reach out to us at engage@oakridgesmoraine.org to inquire prior to registering.

Question 2

Can I participate in the free training only?

Unfortunately, no. To participate in the training, we ask that you commit to at least two volunteer seed collection events to support our collection goals around this project.

Question 3

How does the refund process work?

If you attend the workshop or cancel within a minimum period of 24 hours prior to the workshop start time, we will refund you the full deposit. Our cancellation policy allows us the opportunity to free up space for individuals on our waiting list and to plan for catering we will be arranging.

Question 4

What do I need to know about the site collection activities?

Accepted Answer

They will take place in a variety of locations across Northumberland. You can choose the sites that are most convenient. You’ll be teamed up with at least one other volunteer. You should be comfortable working outside, under various conditions, in a variety of terrain.
