CMTO’s Open House

CMTO is the regulator established by the provincial government to regulate the practice of Massage Therapy and to govern the conduct of Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) in the province of Ontario through the provisions of theRegulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (RHPA)and theMassage Therapy Act, 1991. CMTO is dedicated to excellence in protecting the public’s interest, guiding its registrants and promoting the highest possible quality of the practice of Massage Therapy.

You’re invited to attend the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO)’s Open House event in Ottawa (Electoral District 2) on September 27, 2023!Between September 25th and October 10th, CMTO will hold in-person Open Houses in different regions of Ontario (Districts 1, 2, 6), as well as a virtual event in District 7. We will also hold a special Open House in District 5 that RMTs can choose to attend in-person, or access through a <a href="https://youtube.com/live/t31-7Jw_g_4?feature=share" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">livestream</a>. At the beginning of the year, CMTO made a commitment to strengthen its engagement and partnerships as a goal under the new <a href="https://www.cmto.com/about-cmto/what-we-do/strategic-plan/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Strategic Plan</a> (2023-25). One of the priorities is to engage with the public, RMTs, educators, employers and health system partners to ensure CMTO hears and understands diverse perspectives. The Open Houses will provide opportunities for us to hear from RMTs across the province, and at 9:30 a.m., Maureen Boon, CMTO’s Registrar &amp; CEO, will be presenting an overview of regulatory changes impacting the Massage Therapy practice and answering questions from attendees.Interested? Stay in the left lane until you reach Daly St., which is at the third traffic lights, turn left onto Daly. Then take an immediate right into parking area of the hotel. Cost for parking is $33 per car.
