A night of amazing blues music by this award-winning entertainer  will have everyone tapping their toes at this fundraiser concert.

David Gogo, a Nanaimo native with North American recognition and awards, will rock the place at this fundraising concert!He has six JUNO award nominations and was named Guitarist of the Year three times at the Maple Blues Awards, Musician of the Year at the West Coast Music Awards, and he won Blues Recording of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards. He also received the Great Canadian Blues Award for his lifetime contribution to the blues in Canada, as voted by the listeners of CBC’s Saturday Night Blues.Proceeds from the concert will go to Comox Valley Food Bank and the St. George's United Church's community giving fund to support area non-profits throughout the year.St. George’s raises funds through a variety of events during the year to benefit local non-profits. In 2022, the church donated more than $20,000 to community groups, including Habitat for Humanity, LUSH, the Transition Society, and many others.Attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable donations for the Comox Valley Foodbank, for the collection box at the door.Located in the heart of downtown Courtenay at 505 6th Street, St. George’s United Church is a spiritually vibrant, inclusive, justice-seeking community of faith that has been changing lives in the Comox Valley for over a century.
