Do you have a passion for conservation? Nature at McMaster and the Canadian Wildlife Federation invite you to join us for an Eco-Action Day on November 11th at Wentworth Sports Complex, from 12 pm to 3 pm. Come help us combat invasive species and plant native trees!🌳 Agenda for the Day12 pm: The event begins with a land acknowledgement and a thought-provoking talk on indigenous plant wisdom, courtesy of R.E.A.L. Education.Invasive Species Removal: Let&#x27;s tackle the invasive species that endanger our local habitats. Our experienced guides will teach you how to identify and safely remove these intrusive plants, helping sustain local biodiversity.Native Tree Planting: After the invasive plants are dealt with, we&#x27;ll shift our focus to planting native trees that nourish our local ecosystems. Learn about the valuable role these trees play in nurturing diverse wildlife and purifying our air and water.🍕 Pizza at 2:30 pmWe&#x27;re saying thank you with a pizza gathering at 3:30 pm for all the volunteers.What to Bring/WearSturdy boots or shoesLong pants and high socks for tick preventionHat or sunscreen for sun protectionRain gear if rain is predictedReusable water bottleTransportationWentworth Sports Complex features ample free parking and is accessible by both bus and bike.No experience needed, just a love for the environment and a willingness to contribute to its well-being.
