Project Profile:The Canadian Society for Civile Engineering (CSCE) and Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (SIS) has partnered to advance the use of Envision® Sustainable Infrastructure Framework in Canada. Envision is a holistic sustainability framework and rating system that provides a consistent, consensus-based framework for assessing sustainability and resilience in infrastructure. The Envision framework:
o	Sets the standard for what constitutes sustainable infrastructure.
o	Incentivizes higher performance goals beyond minimum requirements.
o	Gives recognition to projects that make significant contributions to sustainability.
o	Provides a common language for collaboration and clear communication with stakeholders, both internally and externally.
This introductory presentation will include an overview of what Envision is, the types of infrastructure it applies to, the benefits of using Envision, as well as the underlying components available to help advance its application in the industry.

Joelle has worked on a broad range of infrastructure projects from project planning through to construction handover. Her interdisciplinary work encompasses impact assessment, climate risk and resilience assessments, sustainability reporting and cumulative effects assessment.
