Help build a resilient & sustainable workforce, & learn about the services & supports available for working caregivers and businesses.

Hosted by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC), the Ontario Caregiver Organization (OCO), the Canadian Centre for Caregiving Excellence (CCCE) and the Clarity Hub will be presenting a one-hour webinar on “Working Caregivers: Creating a Baseline Understanding.”Why should this matter to a business? In Ontario, 2.5 million working caregivers provide physical, mental, and emotional support to a family member, friend, or neighbour while balancing priorities at work.One-third of working caregivers are considering leaving their jobs to take better care of the person they are supporting. Due to caregiving demands, $1.3 billion is lost in workforce productivity in Canada annually, yet many caregivers continue to go unseen and under-supported in the workplace (https://ontariocaregiver.ca/for-employers/).Most caregivers in Ontario are between the ages of 26 and 64. There is a strong likelihood you currently have caregiving employees on your team and may see the number of caregiving employees grow over time. Proactively considering how to support working caregivers can give your company a competitive advantage in recruiting and retaining employees.Join us on March 27 to explore promising practices and strategies for shifting organizational culture to support employees, which could reduce absenteeism, sick days, and unforeseen departures. Help build a resilient and sustainable workforce while learning about the available services and supports for working caregivers and their employers.
