Workshop #1: Body with Legendary SlimThick PinkladyTime: 6:00pm to 7:30pm Body Workshop with Legendary Mother Slimthick PinkladyBody is a category that draws attention to the body shape with flattering moves and poses and revealing outfits. Join Mother Slimthick Pinklady Monroe in celebrating the beauty of the BODY! Delve into a transformative workshop that fosters self-love and confidence. Discover empowering poses and movements that highlight your unique shape, all while fostering a safe and inclusive environment.Legendary Mother Slimthick PinkladyOne of toronto’s hottest diva Slimthick Monroe made her debut at Sodom in June 2012 at Sodom is Burning where she dazzled the crowd who literally bowed before her as she hit the stage. She then played a sexy Studio 54 diva at Sodom Warhol where she mowed down Andy Warhol with a machine gun. Slimthick Monroe has been a member House of Monroe since 2011 and in 2019 became GodMother Monroe. She has competed many times in Toronto’s ballroom scene as well as at the Latex Ball in New York. Categories she often enters include body and best dressed. Slimthick was born in Trinidad but grew up in New York City. She moved to Toronto at age 15. She is involved in community development though the Toronto Kiki Ballroom Alliance as Mother Pinklady of the Iconic International KiKi House of PinkLady, a youth-led organization that builds self-confidence by using ballroom arts including voguing and runway and the newly appointed GodMother of the first Canadian Mainstream Ballroom House. The House Of Monroe. She is also part of the Woman, Butch and Trans Ballroom Coalition, an organization that helps marginalized people in the ballroom scene. Also becoming her own ambassador as BLACK GRRL MAGIK embracing the "Big Gurl" culture. Letting everyone know that she is here to be seen and heard regardless of how you feel...... especially about her size. Over the last few years even throughout the pandemic Slimthick has kept her presence known and solidified. Doing shows, panels, hosting festival stages,"how -to" videos. Inspiring people everywhere one thunderous word at a time! Workshop #2: Vogue Femme with Legendary Twysted SirianoTime: 7:50pm to 9:30pm Vogue Femme with Legendary Father Twysted SirianoJoin the Legendary Overall Father Twysted Siriano Miyake-Mugler for an electrifying Intermediate Vogue Femme workshop that delves deep into the soul of ballroom culture. With a legacy spanning over a decade, Twysted has graced stages, mentored countless individuals, and pioneered movements across North America. Recently recognized as a Legendary figure in New York City's 2023 Ballroom Awards Ball, Twysted is Canada’s first Ballroom Legend.In this dynamic workshop, Twysted will teach a vogue femme workshop to help you blend technique, personal expression, and performance. Participants can refine their skills, explore the elements of vogue femme, and tap into the raw energy that defines the essence of vogue femme.Twysted's commitment to fostering safe and inclusive spaces for the LGBTQ+ community shines through his work with the Toronto Kiki Ballroom Alliance, the MTL Kiki Ballroom Alliance, and Vancouver’s Kiki Ballroom Community.
