A four week program meeting weekly to learn to alter, repair, redesign gently used clothing and/or reclaim fabric to create something new

<p>Under the guidance of multimedia artist, costume designer and teacher Ingrid Hamster Harris you will learn how to re-design, repair, resize and/or repurpose clothing languishing in the back of your closet (or at the Hub ). Skills taught will include:</p><ul><li>taking measurements</li><li>doing fitting</li></ul><ul><li>altering patterns</li><li>repurposing/redesigning clothing</li></ul><p>Bring your sewing machine, whatever equipment you think you will need and a project to work on as well as a notebook. If you are a fairly new sewer, this can be a very simple project. On the other hand, you may wish to alter some clothing you have or even use material from used, no longer serviceable clothing to make something new. We do have a couple of machines on site for anyone who is wanting to try out sewing before making an investment in a machine</p>
