About the author:Loghan Paylor is a queer, trans author who lives in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Their short fiction and essays have previously appeared in Room and Prairie Fire, among others. Paylor has a master's in creative writing from the University of British Columbia, and a day job as a professional geek. The Cure for Drowning is their first novel.About the guest:Tara McGuire is the author of Holden After &amp; Before — Love Letter for a Son Lost to Overdose, a hybrid work in memoir and fiction exploring grief, motherhood, and the overdose crisis (Arsenal Pulp Press). It was recognized by The Walrus as one of the favourite books of 2022 as chosen by Canadian authors (Ivan Coyote), and was a finalist for the 2023 City of Vancouver Book Award.
