The BC section of the AWS will be presenting a Tech Talk about defects, discontinuities, and indications. The talk will cover what the most common discontinuities are, when do they become recordable indications and are they defects. Are you studying for the big test, or ready to head out and do another inspection? This talk will be educational and give you some of the required knowledge to pass the test or improve the knowledge you already have. Boyce’s has a deep passion for the welding industry. He has been an AWS member for over 17 years. For over 10 of those years he has given back as a section leader and now as a District Director. Currently he is a SCWI, UT II, MT II, ISO 9001 Auditor, and quality consultant. For over 25 years, he has worked in a wide diversity of fields, including nuclear and fossil power, petrochemical, ship building and large scale ASME B&amp;PV fabrication.
