Panel: How to advocate for collaborative health interventions

Third panel discussion in the NSCSW's 2024 collaborative care series

How can providers or clinicians working with patients in a medical setting recognize unmet needs that could benefit from the intervention of an allied health professional? Hear from each health care profession about the unique situations or needs that their discipline can address to improve patient care outcomes and reduce provider burnout. <h3>Collaborative care series</h3>This interdisciplinary series offers professional development and networking opportunities to support allied health professionals in co-creating better outcomes for the people and communities we serve. You'll need a device that can use <a href="https://zoom.us/test" title="https://zoom.us/test" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Zoom</a>, and a reasonably reliable internet connection.There are two ticket classes:<h4>NSCSW members</h4>All active, associate, retired associate, and student members of the <a href="https://nscsw.org" title="https://nscsw.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Nova Scotia College of Social Workers</a> are welcome to attend.<h4>Partners</h4>All allied practitioners in Nova Scotia/Mi'kma'ki interested in advocating for collaborative care are eligible to sign up for a free partner ticket; just let us know which profession you're part of when you register. <h3>Professional development tracking</h3>For members of NSCSW, participating in this event is eligible to be tracked as formal professional development as defined by NSCSW's guidelines for <a href="https://nscsw.org/pd" title="https://nscsw.org/pd" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">annual professional development</a>.
