Barkerville Historic Town is the largest and most significant gold rush heritage attraction in western North America.Billy Barker’s legendary gold strike on Williams Creek triggered a multi-billion dollar industrial revolution that literally built a province. Today, the extraordinary historic town of Barkerville stands as a living testament to BC’s golden beginnings. With its unique streetscape of more than 125 heritage buildings, period displays, satellite museums, restaurants and shops there is still so much to explore.

NEW IN 2019: Barkerville is inviting you to join us at our annual Old-Fashioned Victorian Christmas event by hopping on the bus! To make traveling to Barkerville a safe, easy, and enjoyable experience, you can catch a ride on our special Victorian Christmas charter bus. Your ticket reserves a seat on the bus from the pick-up location of your choice and includes admission to Barkerville for our Old-Fashioned Victorian Christmas event. 
Return transportation is available from Prince George, Quesnel, and Williams Lake on each day of Victorian Christmas (December 14th & 15th, 2019). Limited seating available, so book yours in advance!
