We offer exceptionally fun and inclusive dance programs for adults with a mission to facilitate enjoyable and engaging dance experiences for everybody, regardless of skill level or variations in physical ability. We also collaborate  with diverse artists to createinteractive performancesand produce the annualDance Together Festival.

These community workshops and open studio events are part of the Dance Together Artist Residencies 2024, presented in partnership with Assembly Park, Dance Together Festival, Dance Together Project and York Region Arts Council.

Bounce, Rock and Groove with Mel Hart in this fun and dynamic class that explores the foundations of hip-hop movement that can help you feel more at ease at your next social dance event! A warmup of grooves will start the class, followed by hip-hop basics and a combination danced to a classic song! All ages and levels welcome!Mel Hart is an established dance artist from Scarborough, Ontario with a Bachelor of Fine Arts specializing in Dance from York University. She is a co-founder of SaMel Tanz, a contemporary dance collective with Samantha Schleese and produced works for the Toronto Fringe Festival, Breakin’ Convention, Next Stage Festival, Dance Made in Canada/ Fait du Canada Festival and Summerworks Festival. Mel is also a member of Hip Hop dance crew DEUCEnDIP, who established themselves on MuchMusic’s NML Dance Battlez and performed on stages for Manifesto, WE DAY, Canada’s Walk of Fame and World Pride. Mel has danced for international artists such as Jason Derulo, Sean Paul and the legendary Black Thought of the Roots and opened for Latin artists such as Bad Bunny, Prince Royce, and Gente de Zona.This workshop is part of the <a href="https://www.dancetogetherfestival.com/artists-in-residence" title="https://www.dancetogetherfestival.com/artists-in-residence" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dance Together Artist Residencies</a> at Assembly Park.
