A beginner-friendly social dance that is open to everyone. Live band. All dances taught. No partner needed.

Sunalta Community Hall

After a really fun and successful dance in December, we are going to "keep on swinging" and do it again. Our next dance will be on Thursday, March 7 at the Sunalta Community Association. There's lots of street parking.As usual, expect great live music from Mercat Cross, lots of smiling people, and fun dances from caller Leslie Gotfrit. Contra dancing is easy to learn. If you can walk and count to 8 (preferably at the same time), you can dance! No partner or experience needed. Just bring comfy clothes and shoes.Doors open at 6:45 to check in and mingle. The dance starts at 7:15 with an intro to contra dance lesson, and the first dance starts at 7:30. In December we sold out, so don't wait to get your tickets.
