The Twelve Days of Crafting: Winter Landscape Watercolour After School

The Twelve Days of Crafting is a CRAFT LOCAL 101 Pop Up offering workshops and handmade shopping opportunities November 23 - December 7 in an abandoned toy store at 360 Main Street Wolfville, NS.We offer a variety of affordable art classes and workshops for both kids and kids-at-heart. Creative opportunities are entry level and for everyone, no previous experience required. We also can accommodate private group bookings!The event opens with a Makers Market & drop-in workshops on Saturday November 23rd and then we have a small gift shop on-site.Be a part of filling this space with creative energy and fun this holiday season!CRAFT LOCAL 101 is produced by Annita Nichol Events; vibrant community events set to inspire, engage and showcase our local makers-sphere.

About the Instructor: 
Rachel Reeve is an interdisciplinary visual artist based in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NSCAD University. Her current practice focuses on printmaking, pleinair sketching, and mixed media. With an interest in sustainability, she also works in design and installation using found and repurposed objects. Reeve lived and worked in Japan from 1998 to 2001, there she found her own affinity for nature was reflected in Japanese traditional art and culture. ‘Experiments with Gyotaku’ Reeve’s most recent body of work brings together Japan’s traditional fish printing technique Gyotaku with mixed media. Rachel has 15 years experience teaching art in the Annapolis Valley. From children to adults, she has taught at local schools, including 7 years at the Booker School as the School’s Art Specialist,  community recreation departments, local Farmers Markets, Ross Creek Centre for the Arts, workshops for local businesses and private studio classes.
