The Reel Green™ initiative is a mainstay at Creative BC and we are looking ahead to the next decade and how we can empower and inspire productions to innovate and implement sustainable production practices, and industry stakeholders to collectively support this effort.  We are prioritizing education, engagement, communications, and resources as we develop a platform for the reduction of environmental impacts and stakeholder engagement at the local level to set an example for other jurisdictions globally.

View and register for an upcoming free course on Climate Science and Sustainable Production organized and led by Reel Green™!

Reel Green™’s Sustainable Production Training offers free online training for the motion picture industry. Learn how motion picture production contributes to climate change and how to adopt best practices to reduce the environmental impact of production. This course offers a unique, engaging and solutions-based training session offering attendees the information and inspiration to live and work in a more sustainable way. Upon successful completion of the day, attendees will: <ul><li>have a sound understanding of the science of climate change</li><li>understand how to act to reduce their impact</li><li>recognize the impact that production has on the environment</li><li>have knowledge of the tools and techniques to lessen this impact</li></ul> Taking the Sustainable Production Training course is free and recommended to everyone in the motion picture industry. In this 2-hour training, crew will learn about climate science, what it means for production, and how to adopt and implement more environmentally sustainable practices on set.
