Anti-racist & anti-discriminatory practice

Members of the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers are required to complete annual professional development, which must include learning and activities related to the pursuit of social justice. See https://nscsw.org/pd/#pdMandated for more info.

Advocacy Day creates opportunities for social workers, social work students and social work educators to join together with clients and community organizations in advocating for change in Nova Scotia.Come and listen to social justice advocates from social work and beyond, as well as those with first voice experiences, as we come together to share our hopes, concerns, ideas and recommendations with the decision-makers who have the power to reconfigure our health care system.
