Breathwave enables the release of old holding patterns and invites your natural breathing rhythm to emerge. As a result, you can breathe more easily, experience transformation, invite new life and connect to your authentic self. When you breathe fully, you can fully live. WHAT IS BREATHWAVE?Breathwave is a gentle style of breathwork that supports physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. As we consciously open and connect our breathing in a relaxed state of being, we allow for emotional integration, clarity of mind, and connection to spirit. We breathe fully to oxygenate the body, open our breath, and feel what wants to be felt. Through this practice we begin to find more freedom in our breath, which is then reflected in our life, as each is simply a reflection of the other.This practice is done lying on our backs breathing fully and calmly in and out of the mouth for around 60 minutes. We engage the parasympathetic nervous system for a relaxed, safe, and rejuvenating breath session. The journey is guided by facilitators with music playing in the background, and each individual chooses the degree to which they breathe. DATE &amp; TIME:Sunday, March 17th | 2:00pm-4:00pmWe will start promptly at 2:00pm. Please arrive 10 minutes early to settle in and set up your spot WHAT TO BRING:Please bring a water bottle, yoga mat to lie on, warm &amp; comfortable clothes, blanket and thin pillow. COST:Sliding Scale $40-$90We believe breathwork should be available to everyone, no matter their financial situation. That's why we use a flexible pricing system. Our suggested price for each session is $40-$65. This range allows our facilitators to cover the cost of expenses and time that goes into creating these spaces. We understand that this price may be affordable for some but too high for others. If you can afford to pay more, we encourage you to do so. Likewise, if $40 is beyond your means, we offer a limited number of pay-what-you-can tickets for each group session.Everyone is welcome here. Let's support each other as a community and create a space not determined by economic status, class, race, or culture. FACILITATORS:Jessica Wilson is a breathwave facilitator, youth worker, and holds a BASc in sustainable agriculture. She believes that gathering in circle to connect to ourselves is the most healing and profound thing we can do. Her own breathwork journey began in 2016, and in 2019, she earned certification as a Breathwork Facilitator through the school of Breathwave. She was founding co-faculty for THNK School of Creative Leadership and SFU’s Social Innovation Certificate.
