Yukon Queer Film Alliance exists to present film and other Queer art media to Yukon audiences and to encourage the development of such works by Yukoners. YQFA was incorporated as a not-for-profit in January 2012 to address what we saw as a gap in Yukon's otherwise vibrant cultural scene.We host the OUT North Queer Film Festival every fall and and one film night every spring.

Mae This screening is part of the<a href="https://www.yukonqueerfilmalliance.com/2024program.html" title="https://www.yukonqueerfilmalliance.com/2024program.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> 2024 Out North Queer Film Festival.</a> Opening live performanceStorytelling by Nicholas PullenNicholas Pullen is the author of the upcoming gothic historical horror triptych The Black Hunger, out on Orbit Books in Autumn, 2024, as well as numerous short stories, one of which, ‘Famous Blue,’ placed third in the Toronto Star Short Story Contest in 2019. His work has also appeared in The Copperfield Review and Anti-Heroin Chic. He is a graduate of Somerville College at Oxford University, where he received his BA in History, and holds an MA in history from McGill University. By day he is a treaty negotiator at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada. He knows the names, locations, depths, and stories of every shipwreck in Georgian Bay, and most of the rest of the Great Lakes for that matter. AccessibilityThe venue is wheelchair-accessible and has all-gender washrooms. We do not believe that cost should be a barrier to attending the film festival.
