The Passport to Nature program focuses on encouraging community connection to nature through the arts. With free introductory-level events, Passport to Nature allows people from all backgrounds and abilities to explore and learn about nature.

Join the Nature Trust to explore clay and nature with local ceramist Shinaid of Earthsol Ceramics.For $40.00 participants will explore their connection to nature, community, and art through this interactive and outdoor ceramic workshop.<h3>*$40.00 materials fee required upon registration to hold your spot. Pour garder votre place E-transfer earthsolceramics@gmail.com s'il vous plaît</h3><h3>Meet Shinaid:</h3>Through clay, Fredericton-based artist Shinaid Jane Grace, relates to our natural world. Within her business, EarthSol Ceramics, designs are inspired by natural patterns, colours, and especially fungi. Shinaid tends toward sculptural perspectives on functional forms— think chanterelles growing out of teapots. This naturalist artist’s work points toward interconnectedness and aims to elevate human connection with nature.Participants will use their hands to create coil-made cups which can be pressed with botanicals. Working with a variety of native flora, participants will be encouraged to explore texture through plant life and clay and learn more about the sustainable and renewable practice of ceramics as an art form. Participants will be able to keep their cup after their process in the kiln. Pick-up will be at the Nature Trust of New-Brunswick’s office, date to be announced at the time of the event. En travaillant avec une variété de plantes indigènes, les participants seront encouragés à explorer la texture à travers la vie végétale et l’argile, et à en apprendre davantage sur les pratiques renouvelables de la céramique en tant que forme d’art. Les participants pourront garder leur tasse après le processus dans le four.
