<p>On National Indigenous People's Day, join us for a tour of Impact Network member, Pfennings Organic Vegetable Farm. Pfennings proudly grows over 40 varieties of certified organic vegetables on close to 700 acres in New Hamburg, ON. And that’s just the beginning! They also pack for other local growers and run an import program to supply a full assortment of certified organic fruits and vegetables year-round</p><p>Pfennings also does work on Indigenous Reconciliation, sharing the land they hold title to with Crow Shield Lodge, a local Indigenous led organization founded on a vision of healing for all. Crow Shield Lodge seeks to build a thriving community through Indigenous land-based healing and education.</p><p>By attending the tour, you'll get to learn more about Pfennings incredible sustainable farming practices. You may even end up going home with samples of what they’re harvesting or packing on that day!</p><p><br></p><h3><em><em>What to Expect:</em></em></h3><ul><li>Personally led tour of Pfennings Organic Farm, including production facilities, sustainability initiatives and land management practices</li><li>Snacks and refreshments provided by SWR</li><li>Carpooling and transportation options to and from Pfennings Organic Farm and throughout the farm.</li></ul><p><br></p><h3><em><em>Who Should Attend:</em></em></h3><ul><li>Impact Network members looking for a fun, outdoors social event with other Impact Network members, while we learn about sustainable farming practices.</li></ul><p><br></p><h3><em><em>Traveling to the Event:</em></em></h3><p>*Depending on interest, SWR can organize a bus to take us to the location.
