Le Lab-École est un organisme à but non lucratif qui s’est donné comme mission de rassembler une expertise multidisciplinaire pour concevoir les écoles de demain. Sous l’impulsion de ses trois membres fondateurs, Pierre Thibault, Pierre Lavoie et Ricardo Larrivée, le Lab-École entend mobiliser cette réflexion collective pour en faire un projet de société. Comment ? En intégrant le savoir du personnel enseignant à celui de spécialistes d’autres horizons pour créer les meilleures écoles du Québec, celles qui favorisent pleinement le bien-être des élèves et de tous ceux qui gravitent autour d’eux.

Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau Elementary School

A unique opportunity to discover the architectural concepts that have been created for the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Elementary School (PETES) renovation and expansion project.Event schedule6:00 PM &gt; Welcome table6:30 PM &gt; Welcome speeches 6:55 PM &gt; Finalist 17:35 PM &gt; Finalist 28:15 PM &gt; Break8:30 PM &gt; Finalist 39:10 PM &gt; Finalist 4*Doors close at 6:50 PM. The schedule is subject to change without notice. Short breaks have been planned between each presentation. Latecomers will be permitted to enter between presentations.Snacks and beverages will be served.Each finalist will have 18 minutes to present their concept. The jury’s 18-minute question period will follow.The finalists' presentations and the jury's question period will be held in French. Live interpretation will be provided.In October of 2019, 18 eligible proposals were submitted, and four finalists were selected by the jury. During this event, the finalists will be presenting the architectural concept they have developed for Lab-École Gatineau over the past few months to the jury.For the public, this is an exceptional occasion to attend a presentation that would typically take place behind closed doors, and discover the design work carried out by talented architects, landscape architects, and engineers.In order to respect the procedures that are standard for such an event, no interaction with the public will be permitted over the course of the evening. A survey will be distributed to collect questions and comments from attendees. The content of each presentation is strictly confidential until the winner is announced in March 2020. L’horaire du programme est sujet à changement sans préavis. De courtes pauses sont prévues entre les présentations. Les retardataires seront admis entre les présentations.Collations et breuvages seront servis.Chaque finaliste dispose de 18 minutes pour présenter son concept. Suivra la période de questions du jury d’une durée de 18 minutes.Les présentations des finalistes et la période de questions du jury se tiendront en français. Un service d'interprétation simultanée sera offert.En octobre 2019, 18 propositions admissibles ont été déposées parmi lesquelles quatre finalistes ont été sélectionnés par le jury. Lors de la soirée, les finalistes présenteront au jury le concept architectural qu'ils ont développé pour le Lab-École Gatineau, au cours des derniers mois.Pour le public, il s'agit d'une occasion exceptionnelle d'assister à une prestation qui se déroule habituellement à huis clos et de découvrir le travail de conception réalisé par des architectes, des architectes paysagers et des ingénieurs talentueux. Afin de respecter les modalités prescrites pour un tel événement, aucune interaction du public ne sera permise durant la soirée. Un sondage papier sera distribué pour recueillir les questions et les commentaires des spectateurs. Le contenu des présentations est strictement confidentiel jusqu’au dévoilement du lauréat qui aura lieu en mars 2020. La prise de photos et de vidéos est interdite durant la soirée.
